Atelier History

What begins with an idea.

Alexandre Mason was born in 2016 from a desire to create for equestrian sport differently. The first pieces were boots and tailcoats — individual, complex, made for one specific person.

Every new commission made it more interesting. New constructions, unusual materials, hand finishing, colour, embroidery, unexpected details. So, around those first pieces, an atelier gradually grew — one whose possibilities keep expanding alongside the ideas of our clients.

We have no ambition to make much. We are more interested in making what did not exist before.

Alexandre Mason does not move production to mass factories in China. Small runs and atelier work let us keep the freedom to create complex, unusual, and sometimes entirely one-of-a-kind pieces.

Come with a sketch, a photograph, a colour or simply an idea. Try your hand as a designer — and we will find the way to bring it into material.

Sometimes it works the other way: an idea is born first in our workshop and becomes part of a small capsule collection. Some pieces are made in only a few copies. Some — only once.

Perhaps that is why no two Alexandre Mason stories are ever exactly alike.
